Description

Barcamp Wa 2017 is a free networking forum bringing people together for learning, sharing, networking and mentoring in the Upper West region. It takes place on September 30 at the Regional Library in Wa. The theme for this year is "Achieving Sustainable Development through Innovation".

This Barcamp hopes to assemble stakeholders in Wa to network, build a supportive enterprising community and partner to build together. The GhanaThink Foundation has successfully organized 75 BarCamps in Ghana as part of its Barcamp Ghana program since 2008. Barcamp Ghana is building a network of changemakers, doers and entrepreneurs. BarCamp Wa 2017 will be the third of its kind and it will showcase of entrepreneurs and innovators in the Upper West region.

What to expect?

  • Mentoring by professionals or entrepreneurs.
  • Networking with like-minded individuals - you could find your business or project partner
  • Celebrating some of the best of our community and beyond
  • Breakout sessions that you can also lead

Our speed mentoring session will help participants gain insights and answers to questions. Confirmed mentors include Salifu Kanton (Community Development Alliance), Steven Mwinkaara (Nyoyoung Empire Hotel), Latif Mahama (CITI FM - Wa), Gideon Kofi Agbley (UDS), Sixtus J. Dery (Statistical Service), Melvin Akansore (Zoe Laundry Service), Israel Zagh (Radio Wa), Moses Mbalebna (SIIC Wa), Frank Akowuge Dugasseh (Wechiau Community Library), Adil Issah (CAVNET), etc.
